Peace and Hope Lives In these Branches Join us by Sharing hopes for your life, your community and our world this Holiday Season
In partnership with Vincent United Methodist Church
Hope lies in dreams, in imagination, and in the courage of those who dare to make dreams into a reality. To live without hope is to cease to live.
As we enter the season of thankfulness and giving, we are launching
“The Hope Tree”
Trees have always been a symbol of strength as well as a blessing of nature.
During our Expressions of Thanks event on November 18th, we will be handing out cards that can be filled out with a person's hopes and prayers. That evening they will be hung on a tree outside of the theater.
On November 19th, we will place a sign in front of the tree, along with a red and green plastic box filled with supplies and instructions.
The power to take root and stand tall throughout life's changing cycles is inspirational. By hanging our ornaments of hope, we will let our hopes and prayers take root, and let go of our fears and doubts about the future.
We will then gather the ornaments on January 1st and hold them until January 14th 2017, the third Sunday in January, when we will have a ceremony and a blessing at the Vincent United Methodist Church service at 10a.m.
This will allow our hopes to take flight like the leaves of Autumn, giving us hope and strength for the New Year.
